Don't know where this should go:

Aya will be at the following event:
谷村新司らが豪華音楽祭 ABC新社屋移転記念 6月28-30日
http://www.sponichi.co.jp/osaka/ente/20080...ente207492.html
http://osaka.nikkansports.com/news/p-on-tp...214-321172.html

(谷村新司 is the one who wrote 風信子(ヒヤシンス) (Hyacinth), lyrics and music.)

Edit: Sorry I was in a hurry earlier. This thing is a little messy. It actually doesn't have much to do with 谷村新司. The name of the event is 「中之島音楽特区(ミュージックパラダイス)」, Naka no Shima Music Paradise. ( http://musicdome.jp/pc/nakanoshima_mp/ ) 朝日放送 (ABC) will have a new site in Osaka, and this event seems to celebrate the moving.

Hmm. Good question...what exactly is it? smile.gif

Some kind of musical festival with her old pal Tanimura (who also guested during the Shanghai concert) from June 28-30 in Osaka it seems

Aya will be in Shanghai on 20080321, attending some event that celebrates the opening of some Japanese restaurant type of thing.
user posted image
The restaurant's website: http://www.matsuri-123.com/home.html
The location: http://www.matsuri-123.com/cn/access.html

Update1:
This is some kind of Japanese buffet restaurant. About US$25/person. Aya will be there around dinner time. No performance. Just an opening ceremony. Kinda strange to me that she flies to Shanghai just for this. Maybe there're some other plans during her stay there? Have to wait and see.

Update2:
Aya arrived at the restaurant around noon on 20080321 and attended the opening ceremony in the afternoon, which didn't seem to be open to the public. Made a short appearance during dinner time, handing autographed posters and CD's to some lucky winners. Left Shanghai around noon on 20080323.

According to Komatsu Takuya's blog, he interviewed Aya during her short stay.

Update3:
Aya was interviewed by QQ:

- Pictures: http://ent.qq.com/a/20080326/000099.htm
(I saved the pictures and upped them to imageshack as seen below.)

Update4:
COOL Music (a magazine) interviewd Aya. Aya is featured on the cover of the April issue (Vol. 1, Jpop.) Here is a picture of the cover. Or here (a smaller but higher quality one.)

You may have noticed that, when I first posted about this restaurant event, I said "Aya might be in Shanghai..." Why's that? Below is the little story I was suggested to share here: The news came from a photo of a (supposedly) newspaper article/ad posted on 2ch, where rumors prevail. I enlarged the photo, didn't see any sign of photoshopping, and I checked to make sure the website and company are legit. Then I posted the news. However, nowhere else on the Web could this be confirmed at that time, so I decided to wait until the other side of the earth goes to work to give them a call. (The restaurant is in Shanghai, China. I'm in the U.S., speak Chinese, but know little Japanese.) So several hours later I called the number listed on the restaurant's website. But to my surprise, a Japanese guy picked up the phone. It was kinda funny, as I was totally caught off guard and didn't know what to say when he greeted me with "moshi moshi" type of stuff. I tried Chinese and English, but the guy didn't understand a thing. Then he passed the phone to someone else. I thought ok, he was smart, he was getting his Chinese colleague. But no, another Japanese! Lol. Well, what can I do, I just repeated what I said in Chinese and then in English. Sure the call was put on hold again. Now this time I got someone speaking Chinese, not only that, but I was able to confirm with him that Aya would be attending the opening event. Phew!

LOL, good work Sville! matsuurian/c13.gif

Strange though that Aya would travel so far for basically a ribbon cutting ceremony, unless maybe she's got a stake in the restaurant?

Or like Sville speculated... she might have something else going on. FC event?

Again great updates and spectacular finds, sville matsuurian/c22.gif

That Chinese version of "Hyacinth" I only had as a shortened and inferior version.
I've put it in the archives already. As I have a avi encode of that interview (also available later on the HO tracker. Great great stuff!!

And here are some caps from that qq.com TV show (a 15 mins interview)
