But another interesting item:

Watching the marvelous subbed Haropuro News segments there was one episode (November 17, 2002) featuring a video appearance by Aya in a historical costume. Made during the filming of "Chuushingura - The Decision".
I have never anywhere seen this one mentioned in Aya's career synopsis. It could of course be that her scenes were cut from the final product (shit happens when you're too long for the TV time slot).
So does anyone know more (or can paste the original title here?)

Well, thanks to H!P46 this is another mystery solved :-)
"I've seen it referenced in Wikipedia and hatena (probably one based on the other) but I don't know much about it except that it was a 4 part TV drama and that it's based on 忠臣蔵 of course, which every Westerner over the age of 18 should know about from the movie Ronin if nowhere else. I gather that Aya's character Konami isn't really essential to the plot and that in this particular adaptation her role is just played out (probably not in a great deal of emotional depth). Aya was probably chosen for the role because of the connection with her prefecture as much as her acting abilities. I don't have it and can't begin to even guess where might but if you really, really want it you could buy it but it costs a whopping ￥15,960..."

A while back I mentioned that Aya had appeared in a supporting role in a 8-hour historic TV movie called "Chuushingura - Time of Decision" (忠臣蔵〜決断の時), aired on TV Tokyo January 2, 2003.

Well, I ordered the DVD set and extracted Aya's scenes (appx. 20 minutes worth).
I will upload it on the HO tracker and the archives on Monday.

I found another little treasure: Aya's appearance in a 2002 jdorama called "Golden Bowl", ninth episode to be exact.
So far I only have this in a LQ version (converted from the flv on this site - just click the image for episode 9). But hopefully I can get a better one. There is one Gigeshare link but that seems to be broken. But then maybe someone will have more luck with it.
Aya has a small part as a pop star (sic!) who competes against a semi-pro bowler on a TV show. According to the script the pro is supposed to loose (sorta like professional wrestling), but his pride is restored and he shows the world how good he really is, leaving poor Aya/Miyako to hasten to the bathroom not feeling too well
It's a fun show and I will put the LQ version up tomorrow as it's only 210MB anyway, hoping to replace it later on. Btw Aya first appears at 21:38. Some caps:
